Shipping & Returns Policy

At Vin d’Almar, we take great care to ensure that every bottle we send reaches you in perfect condition — an expression of the heritage and craftsmanship we cherish. This policy outlines our procedures for shipping, delivery, and the rare event of a damaged product.

Delivery Areas

We currently ship to addresses within South Africa. For international delivery enquiries, please contact us directly using the details at the bottom of this page before placing an order.

Delivery Timeframes

  • Orders are dispatched within 2–5 business days of payment confirmation.
  • Delivery times may vary depending on your location, but generally take 2–7 business days after dispatch.
  • During peak seasons (e.g., holidays or harvest releases), dispatch times may be slightly longer.

Delivery Costs

Shipping fees are calculated at checkout and are based on your delivery address and order size.

Delivery Conditions

  • Deliveries are made during business hours, Monday to Friday.
  • Someone over the legal drinking age of 18 must be available to receive and sign for the delivery.
  • If no one is available, the courier will attempt a re-delivery or contact you to arrange collection.

Returns & Replacements

No Returns or Exchanges for Unwanted Products

Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges for items once they have been dispatched, unless they are damaged in transit (see below).

Damaged Products

If your order arrives damaged, we will replace it at no additional cost. You must notify us within 48 hours of receiving your order. Please contact us using the details at the bottom of this page with:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the damage
  • Clear photographs of the damaged product and packaging

We will arrange collection of the damaged item (if necessary) and dispatch a replacement once the claim has been approved.

Incorrect Orders

If you receive the wrong product, please notify us within 48 hours using the details at the bottom of this page. We will arrange for the correct item to be delivered and the incorrect one collected at no charge.

Non-Delivery

If your order does not arrive within the estimated delivery time:

  • Please first check the tracking information provided in your shipping confirmation email.
  • If there are any issues, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page so we can liaise with our courier partners.

Legal Compliance

Vin d’Almar complies with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (South Africa) and the Liquor Act 59 of 2003. We will only sell and deliver alcohol to persons over the age of 18. Proof of age may be required upon delivery.
